2011 Gardening Season

News Update April 6th:
The road running in front of the garden is currently closed for construction as the city sewer line is being extended over to the golf course, construction is expected to be completed by April 15, hopefully sooner!

Time to Renew

The Custer Community Organic Gardens' mission is to provide residents with an opportunity to come together for the purpose of food production, environmental education and to encourage multi-generational gatherings.

The city is ready to start taking rent payments for the 2011 gardening season, the plot rental fee will remain at $25/plot for the 2011 season. Current garden members have until April 15th to renew their plot to be assured of getting their last year’s plot number. New garden members can immediately start renting plots that were not rented last year or those plots that were turned back in by last year’s members.

People will be limited to renting only one plot until May 9th, but after May 9th they can rent two plots if unrented plots are still available. The plot rental/registration process will remain the same as last year however the Guideline Agreement has been amended to reflect new changes for 2011. You need to sign and date the 2011 Space Rental Contract at the city offices at 622 Crook Street and pay the $25 rental fee.
